Captain Arm Protection - Light Kit
Captain Arm Protection - Light Kit
Our Captain Arm Protection - Light Kit guards the upper arm, elbow, and forearm in Polyurea (PU), at a fraction of the weight of the steel original. The rerebrace, articulated elbow couter, and vambrace follow the same plate logic as the forged version, with riveted bands and a pointed elbow fan that turns blows away from the joint.
Because it is moulded rather than forged, the weight drops dramatically, making it ideal for long event days, junior fighters, and performers who want the steel look without the strain. Full grain leather straps with metal buckles close each section, with a lace tie at the top to secure the upper arm and a hinged forearm for easy fitting. It pairs with the rest of the Captain range, including the Captain Cuirass, Pauldrons, Gorget, Belt Shields, and Leg Protection.
Features
- Moulded in Polyurea (PU) for a dramatically lighter weight than the steel original
- Guards the upper arm, elbow, and forearm
- Articulated elbow couter with a pointed fan that deflects blows from the joint
- Hinged vambrace and riveted plate banding that mirror the steel version
- Full grain leather strapping with metal buckles plus a lace tie at the top for a
secure, adjustable fit - Part of the Captain range, built to pair with the full Captain armour set
- Comes as a pair
- Color: Epic Dark
- Sizes: S-M and L-XL
Fit, adjustment & care
The strap system handles most sizing on its own, but for a closer fit, you can gently reshape the material itself using heat. Apply heat to the inside of the piece rather than the painted exterior, so the material becomes flexible without damaging the finish.
-
Finish: The base material underneath the painted surface is black, so over time, scratches and general wear may reveal this black color underneath.
-
Easy touch-ups: Minor cosmetic damage, such as scuffs or scratches can be simply repaired at home using a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
-
Leather care: The leather straps should be maintained like any other full-grain leather product, with occasional conditioning to keep them supple and long-lasting.
-
A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armor's lifecycle and can be expected with regular use, adding to the authentic, battle-worn character of the piece.
